Drawn Apart
Drawn Apart was a Savannah College of Art and Design led short film, where the team was hand picked to work both in the concept development class, and then the production class. For a total of 20 weeks we developed, produced, and finalized this short film. The first 10 weeks I worked as a digi-scout, modeling previs models of the town to develop the style and feel of the environment. The second 10 weeks I worked as a Modeling Technical Director looking over several different tasks within the team.

Production and direction
As production started, the team grew significantly; almost doubling it with the addition of animators. As a technical Director I also took on several supervising tasks. I would assign tasks and due dates to the modeling team, gave feedback and double checked all models for mistakes, met with modelers outside the class to help them with any issues and meeting with heads of other teams for feedback or concerns. After modeling was finished I became head of set dressing. I worked with the texture team to develop a pipeline that would work well when texturing many objects like leaves or cobblestone. Due to the teams heavy workload I also modeled and set dress almost all the vegetation in the short. Its crazy to think about how much work was done is such little time, and I am so proud of the Drawn Apart team for all that we did.
previs and digiscout
Show bellow is a slideshow of the work created while working in the 'concept quarter' along side some incredibly talented people. Here we drafted concepts, story-boarded, and created 3d models in order to better understand the environment we wanted to create. During this quarter I also began to draft background models and a seagull character which would sadly be cut from the short later in production. This was a great chance to learn about previs and how it is important to the pipeline.
